About Us

British Women Artists (BWA) was established in 2008 by Jowonder, with the technical expertise of Peter Blue, as a showcase for women artists of any nationality living and working in the UK.

Using women artists' images to reassemble, to challenge, and record 2008-2020.

The annual competition had input leading figures in the international world of fine-art including: Edward Lucie Smith, Mila Askarova, Amanda Rigler, Sadie Hennessy, Aretha Campbel, Ceri Hand, Jane McAdam Freud, Liz Aggiss, Jan Woolf, and Alice Henrik.

The archive of work will be including a few new inclusions post 2021.
