This is one of an exhibition series - The Colours and Contrasts of India. Here layers of pink and red have been fused. The light, shades and tints of the 'exotic east' which, in our muted atmosphere would be garish, are highlighted at home amongst the mundanity of dusty streets and polluted roads where the tropical luminosity renders them normal.
