0°Longitude: Out of the skies came Africa

My work is abstract with reference to landscapes using oil, inks and pastels on canvas. Creating depth through multiple layers built up from a loose, organic grid I make short vertical strokes in mixed media. I travelled back and forth down 0°longitude throughout my childhood and take inspiration from the varying light, humidity and memory of the different cultural experiences.
